A cubic object—
Rectilinear slab built box with raw chiseled edges on a spherical base thrown on a wheel. Attached carefully and left unglazed. I've been exploring different textures and ways to finish my works this past season. Exploring opposite forms too and how they work adjacent to each other. This piece was handmade, the base was thrown, trimmed on a wheel, before attached, and then fired twice. Due to the handmade nature of this piece, some beautiful imperfections are to be expected. This piece in particular has a small crack on the inside thus rendering it not for sale.
